Reason(s) for joining Lamma CC: Couldn’t get a run anywhere else (thankfully!)
Best and/or worst cricketing memories: Best: 1) Recently getting 4 wickets against Islanders with my first attempt at bowling in well over a year... alright they were tailenders and timid schoolboys but it’s been along time since I’ve had those kind of figures!
2) Days 1 and 2 at the 2005 Shanghai Cricket Sixes — a good time wrecked by cricket!
Worst: 1) Any time I’ve copped a tap on the nuts;
2) Day 3 at the Shanghai Sixes — suffering from a mix of gastro, stomach cramps and dehydration... and all I had was Milky and Chris Coombes to nurse me... the proper nurse at the ground didn’t want to know about anything that couldn’t be solved with Tylenol!
3) Waking up in Princess Margaret Hospital with four stitches in my head after a Lamma CC Xmas Party/mates 30th birthday party... and little memory of anything else!
Favourite current international player: Andy Symonds when he gets going
