Stephen Bolshaw

Stephen Bolshaw

Full Name: Stephen James Bolshaw

Nickname: Milky

Born: 8 September 1975, Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow, England

Batting Style: Right Hand Bat, Zorro style

Bowling Style: Right Arm, serving up the kind of thing that Fray Bentos would be proud of.

Location: Lamma Island

Occupation: Financial stuff

Interests (outside cricket): International gastronomy, music

Previous Cricketing Experience:
Prior to Lamma CC, played for Leckford in the UK having previously played for Andover since the age of 12. I cannot remember personal bests, though I seem unable to score more than 64 in any one innings, having reached that point on four occasions now.

Reason(s) for joining Lamma CC: Moved to the island and some minor digging revealed there was a cricket club here.

Best and/or worst cricketing memories: Best: 1) Being at the Oval to see England pick up the Ashes for the last time on home soil. 2) Bradley Tarr shaking my hand on scoring my first run for Lamma in my first game — small touch but goes to prove you have joined a great bunch of guys.
Worst: 1) Probably when I was 13 and played in a game when the opposition batted first and amassed two hundred and something without loss. We were then all out for five. Scarred me for life. 2) Also a Sunday game played at Aldermaston Atomic research facility. Arctic conditions, including some snowfall, meriting three jumpers, two shirts and a tee shirt and a seriously annoying Geiger counter crackling in the background. Tea was rubbish as well, just to add to the misery.

Favourite current international player: Michael Vaughan. Quality player and has the job that I wanted from the point that I was old enough to hold a cricket bat.
