Tsunami Relief Fund Raising
Lamma C.C. / Delaney’s Monday Cricket Fund Raiser organised by Jonno raised HK$12,800. Proceeds sent by Delaney’s to “World Vision”.

Lamma C.C. Members and supporters have also raised HK$28,700. HK$14,000 went to the “Rotary Club of Colombo”, HK$10,200 to “Talpe, Sri Lanka” and HK$4,500 is still being decided. Thanks go to Tez, Narly and Foxy for giving us the impetus to do the fund-raising. (Read a full account of our fund raising efforts.) Tez has further fund raising ideas that he will take up with the HKCA.

Terry Smith, the President of the HKCA sent condolence letters to the cricket boards of India, Sri Lanka & Thailand and specifically mentions our Club for our fund raising efforts.

Accounts
Lamma C.C. accounts are currently in a poor state. Lamma C.C. is in the red and need funds (members owing money, sponsorship, etc.) to bring us back on track.

The accounts need regular and careful monitoring and for various reasons this has not been happening. Remedies include debts to be paid immediately, regular balance updates and a separate account of the HKICF Sixes from the regular accounts of Lamma C.C.

Player payments
Kim Leung has been keeping the player payments in check. Thanks go to Kim.

Clothing
We will order shirts when we have the funds from a confirmed sponsor. Sun hats have already been placed on order as they had run out. Baggy green caps are now available.

Sponsorship
Delaney’s and Foster’s will be approached for sponsorship. The Island Bar has not contributed financially this year. Brad to chase.

Equipment
It must be stressed again to LOOK AFTER OUR KIT and DO NOT TAKE ANY OF THE KIT AWAY FOR PERSONAL USE. It is all of our responsibility to see the kit doesn’t go astray. There will be no new kit bought for the Club for this season.

An idea was to have coloured pads and gloves next season to make it harder for the kit to be misplaced or stolen.

New HKCA rules say we need to keep 6 spare balls handy in case of lost balls during a league match. Lamma C.C. will need to keep all used ball in a separate ball bag in kit. Please return match balls back to the kit bag to build up supply.

Tours
Phuket Sixes is a certainty, and a number of members intend to go to England to see an Ashes match — let Brad know if you’re interested in going.

Matches
Jonno to arrange an Intra-Lamma, Ian will arrange ground at Sandy Bay (which has a new wicket).

Social Activities
It is hoped the Dinner & Dance will make a comeback this year. Ian and Brad will check venues & dates.

LCC website
Hope everyone has now seen our great new web site lammacc.com A big thank you goes to Kevin Bishop and the rest of the contributors.

We are looking for further additions to keep the site interesting throughout the season and have a number of ideas. Further additions to the site will be an messageboard/discussion forum, player’s profiles and a regular contributor’s column.

AOB
A Social League has been loosely formed which Lamma CC will most likely participate in.
