ECM February 2004

Minutes of
Executive Committee Meeting of
Lamma Cricket Club

on
2 February 2004 at 6:30pm
Grappa’s, Central

Present: Ian Harling, Mark Burns, Daryl Bending, Venkat Shivkumar & Brad Tarr

Financial Position
Awaiting final audit.
Payment of match fees and membership has been a lot better this season and no issues are outstanding.

Sponsorship Position
Peter Berry and the Island Bar have recently contributed $8,000 to the Club this season.
This season’s sponsorship letter is now due for HK Electric.

Equipment
Will do a stock take during the intra-Lamma but it is recommended we will need to buy 1 pair of keeper’s gloves, left-handers batting gloves, 2 bats, 4 umpires’ counters and a kit bag. Some of these items are being replaced as they have gone missing and not through general wear & tear. Also two helmets that were hardly used have gone missing.
It is important to look after the equipment we have invested in.

Competitions
The Saturday Cup starts soon followed by the Summer Eights in April.

Social Matches
Should be able to book pitches for social games at Po Kong Village Road from end of February. This will be after the Saturday League has finished.

Tours
Chiang Mai has been confirmed for April and the squad is all but confirmed. There are a few spaces still available for the Phuket Sixes a few days before the Chiang Mai event so if anyone is interested in participating in this new and exciting venue, please get in touch with Mark or Brad.

Trophy Display
To be built in the Island Bar. Does anybody know a carpenter that REALLY will make a cabinet for the place.

Dinner & Dance
Further ideas were mentioned for the event around the end of the season. Possibilities were erecting a marquee at the IRC in So Kon Po or the USRC in Jordan.

There were no further points raised and the meeting drew to a close at 9:15pm
